Custom Glass, Done Right, Since 2013
The Shower Door Professionals
Brandon Nicastro founded GCS in Phoenix in 2013 with one idea: customers deserve a quality product built for their space and their style.
That idea grew into locally owned GCS locations in Phoenix, Denver and Long Island, three straight years on the Inc. 5000, and a founding role in the Shower Door Professionals Co-Op. Custom glass is a business of details. A wall that is out of plumb, a tile with a profile, a bench that changes the geometry. Our team is trained to catch every one of them before the glass is cut. Quality Matters. We are GCS.
Our History
Brandon Nicastro founded Grand Canyon State Glass Design in Phoenix, Arizona with an idea and a lot of hard work out of his in-law’s home.
Brandon partnered up with his old friend and coworker, Tom Nare, to enter a new market in Denver, Colorado.
Brandon partnered with another leader in the glass industry, Chance Forman, to form Glass Experts Partners (GEP) where they could combine their expertise and experience to develop software that supports their streamlined processes and systems.
Brandon & Chance, as Glass Experts Partners, teamed up with Derek Tonne of Sea Glass Interiors to open the third GCS location on Long Island in New York.
2021-2023 GCS named to the Inc. 5000 three years running
GCS was ranked, for the second time, on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies.
GCS ranked for the third time on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies.

What types of custom shower doors do you offer?
We offer a variety of custom frameless shower doors, including hinged, sliding, pivot, and bi-fold designs.
How long does it take to design and install a custom shower door?
The design process typically takes 1-2 weeks. Once finalized, the installation can be completed within 2-4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project.
Why are frameless shower doors more expensive than framed shower doors?
Frameless shower doors are more expensive because they use thicker, high-quality tempered glass and require precise custom fittings and hardware for installation. The materials and labor associated with creating a sleek, seamless look contribute to the higher cost.
What areas do you serve in Phoenix?
We serve all neighborhoods in Phoenix and the surrounding areas, including Chandler, Scottsdale, Mesa, Glendale, and Gilbert. Contact us to confirm service availability at your specific location.
Does a warranty cover your shower doors?
Yes, all our custom frameless shower doors come with a warranty that covers material defects and installation.
What is the easiest frameless shower door to install?
Hinged doors are generally the easiest frameless shower doors to install because they require less hardware and complexity compared to sliding doors.
Do frameless shower doors leak?
Frameless shower doors are designed to minimize leaks, but they aren't 100% waterproof. Proper installation and high-quality seals around the edges are crucial to preventing water leakage.
What are the disadvantages of a sliding shower door vs. a swing door?
Due to the track system, sliding doors can be harder to clean and may require more maintenance to keep the rollers functioning smoothly. On the other hand, swing doors need more space to open outward, which can be an issue in smaller bathrooms.
Can you work with any bathroom layout?
Yes, we specialize in custom solutions that can be tailored to fit any bathroom layout, regardless of size or design.
What kind of glass do you use for your shower doors?
We use high-quality, durable tempered glass that is available in various finishes, including clear, frosted, and patterned options.
Is GCS a member of the Shower Door Professionals Co-Op?
Yes, a founding member. The Co-Op is a national network of independent shower door companies vetted for experience, safety and quality, in an industry with no universal installation standards.
What makes GCS different from an off-the-shelf shower door?
Off-the-shelf enclosures come in standard sizes; your shower does not. GCS measures in person, fabricates each piece to those measurements, installs with GCS crews, and backs it with a limited lifetime craftsmanship warranty.
Do you install glass railings and wine cellars too?
Yes. Custom glass railings for stairs, balconies, decks and pools; glass wine cellar enclosures; glass partition walls; steam showers; curved glass; and custom mirrors.
Does a warranty cover your shower doors?
Yes. Every GCS project is covered by our Limited Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty: defects in materials and workmanship, for as long as you own your home or business.
Where is GCS located?
Locally owned and operated in Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; and Long Island, New York. See the Locations page for the cities we serve.
