Great Neighborhoods
University Hills and Windsor Park is the best east Austin neighborhood that no one is talking about. That won’t be true much longer as the Mueller development continues to grow. It has charming 1950s ranch homes, curvy streets, and giant oak trees. Windsor Park gets my vote for the best neighborhood for first-time homebuyers (and investors) because of the relatively affordable prices, ease of commute, and friendly community. Convenient Locations
Windsor Park is conveniently located to Mueller, North Loop, and The Linc. A quick drive out of the neighborhood will get put you on i35 just before 183- a perfect location for someone working downtown or up north. The adjacent neighborhoods are reasonably centrally located in a northeast pocket of town that stretches approximately from just above the Mueller area along IH-35 to Highway 290, their northern borders. Manor Road forms the eastern boundary of both, except for a portion of University Hills bordered by Highway 183.
